I recently visited the Siri Fort which is considered as the first city entirely built by Turks. It’s interesting to know that the legends of Ala-ud-din’s war exploits, the name Siri given to the Fort was because the foundation of the fort was built on the severed heads (‘Sir’ in Hindi “head”) of Mongolsoldiers killed in the war.
We should make the best use of our technology today, by studying the history and visiting these places to have a better understanding. These visits will not only keep us connected to our history but also help us enhance our cognition.
