Tej Pratap Yadav’s ‘Haunted’ Bungalow: How Ghosts Too Got Involved In Politics

Former health minister Tej Pratap Yadav has vacated the bungalow that the government had allotted to him. He has accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi of “unleashing” ghost the in 3 Deshratna Marg bungalow.

On the one hand, India is fighting against superstitions and on the second, our former Bihar health minister is saying that he is being troubled by ghosts, and that too because of the Chief Minister. I guess ghosts have also started taking interest in politics. Maybe this is what the right to equality in Article 14 of the Constitution alludes to. Everyone has a right to get involved and take part in politics.

It would be clearer if someone clarified how the ghosts are supposed to benefit by bullying Tej Pratap Yadav. Now, the time has come to amend the Constitution once again. The Indian government should make some changes to the labour laws to allow these ghosts to receive their minimum wage.

The Bihar Chief Minister may have promised the ghosts that he would try and repeal anti-superstition acts in other states like Maharashtra and Karnataka if the ghosts did his bidding. Or maybe he promised them a Rajya Sabha seat next year.

Let’s get ready to see some ghosts as well in the coming Lok Sabha elections in 2019. Though some of our present politicians are no less evil than ghosts, this will be the first time India gets to see real ghosts contesting elections.

What happens if the people who are being elected by our population to save us from superstition start believing in and perpetuating the same?

Maybe is this what illiteracy can do to the world.
