‘Indian Culture’, an entity whose definition is interpreted by different people according to their liking and is used as a garb under which activities of extremism, that otherwise would have been absurd, are justified.
Moral policing is one such activity wherein the basic Right to Privacy and integrity of individuals is exploited. In extreme cases, the fringe vigilante groups practicing it take law into their hands and on the pretext of maintaining law and order in the society, end up making a mockery of it.
