#projecthandstitch started at personal level and growing in a bigger community. Materials and their impact – Whilst we know that changing the materials we use isn’t a one-stop fix-all approach for sustainable fashion, the fact of the matter is that the cultivation, production and processing of textiles is having an increasingly detrimental effect on our natural environment, as well as on communities around the world.
#projecthandstitch is a open project for all who would like to make by ahands and learn more from each other, at the same time appreciate what they have created and use it for a longer time, it will save our resources to go into landfill.

Pramila Choudhary, a researcher, a craft-maker, slow-fashion advocate, a sustainable designer & a design educator from NID ( National Institute of design) working with artisans and women from various parts of India, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh as well as Switzerland and Netherlands. Creating and developing community base learning for students, adults and artisans at the same time.
Keeping indigenous skills in place using them to create more sustainable marketable products which can provide a livelihood opportunities for all.
