Situation of law and order in uP

Nowadays discussions have been going on the situation of law and order in U.P. According to opposition, law and order in the state has gone from bad to worse. Both inside and outside of state assembly the opposition parties have made allegations against the government that it has failed in controlling crime.
The Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, has contradicted the allegations. He said criminals have their place only in jail and the government will not show any leniency with them. The Government has been trying to show all the strictness against the criminals and this apparently was not palatable to the opposition.
In the mean time reports on encounters between police and criminals are coming from all over the state. In these encounters many criminals have been killed and many have been arrested.
According to leaders of opposition parties the BJP government has been killing its opponents in the name of encounters. The government replied to this and said, in the past the SP government had been protecting criminals and if these criminals are related to a particular party, it is not our fault.

Speaking during the budget session of the assembly CM referred to the Noida encounter and said that police did not consider it as an encounter and police is also providing treatment to the injured.Other party members were aware of all this.
“Despite this, why opposition parties are trying to bounce it again and again ? It means they have nothing left to raise in the assembly.”
He asserted that the process of encounter would go on.
Opposition reacted on this and said, CM’s statement was against the constitution and needed a discussion.
Ahmad Hasan, leader of opposition made allegations against the Yogi government and said, “people are living in a fear of being killed and this was the duty of opposition to raise their security issues.”
