Was Karni Sena A Part Of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Publicity Stunt?

Karni Sena has withdrawn the protest against “Padmaavat”.

“There is no such objectionable scene between Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji and Queen Padmini of Mewar which hurts the sentiments of Rajputs,” said Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena’s Mumbai leader Yogendra Singh Katar, reported by IANS.

While most of the people on the internet are calling Karni Sena names, they tend to overlook something fishier: was the entire ruckus fore-planned and that too by Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself?

Here is a fact: no actor or actress reveals a movie’s plot before its release. No director does either. Moreover, the place where the movie gets shot is always kept secure. It’s natural.

It was January 2017, when Karni Sena and Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali had their first rendezvous. Mr Bhansali was shooting the movie at Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur, when a bunch of Karni Sena members broke into the set and assaulted Mr Bhansali.

Here are the things that gnaw me: How did Karni Sena come to know the plot of “Padmaavat” just when its shooting started? Without knowing the plot, they won’t know there’s an encounter of Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji. How else would they know about the “Jauhar” scene and that too with all the right details? Doesn’t it all sound unintuitive that Karni Sena was backed by historians who had their version of history so dramatically related to Bhansali’s?

By now, “Padmaavat” has earned ₹166.5 crores and Karni Sena, a global timeline and a plenty of attention. On the other hand, we all diverted ourselves from the farmers who were protesting for survival and for rapes happening in Haryana on the daily basis.
