A Farmer In Andhra Pradesh Is Using A Poster Of Sunny Leone To Save His Crop

The train was passing through a field when an odd figure standing amidst the crop appeared to the passengers inside the bogey. The figure was meant to deflect things considered to be perilous for the crop.

The children looking at the unique sight asked, “What is it?” The elders replied that it was a traditional way to ward off evil eyes. The farmers usually kept them in order to protect their valuable crop from unnecessary damage.

These figures scare away other animals and birds from coming near the fields.

Many people may be aware of this but nowadays, many children are unaware of the realities of pastoral life.

Usually, the figures the farmers put up are meant to look terrifying. But in Andhra Pradesh, we find a 45-year-old farmer who has put up a bikini-clad poster of Sunny Leone in order to ward off evil eyes. The message on the poster reads, “Orey nannu chusi edavakaura (Hey, do not cry or feel jealous of me).”

The farmer considered that a good idea for saving his cabbage and cauliflower crop spread over ten acres of the land. The poster of Sunny Leone was put up to keep evil spirits at bay.
