Seven years ago there was an old man protesting in ramlila maidan. I was just 11 years old that time I didn’t knew much but I knew how hard it was to fast for even one day. I knew there is something called lokpal which is necessary for corruption free nation. I even saw a mass mob supporting Anna calling him next Mahatma. I even remember how the prime minister was mocked at times even sometimes my family members even said that he is puppet PM. I remember how this protest changed the whole scenario of Indian politics, even for the first time I watched news and I didn’t even urged my father to change it to some cartoon channel.
It’s 7 years from then I knew that Anna will be back at ramlila maidan. I felt that something is going to change after this, again world will see mass mob in a peaceful protest that will invoke the feeling of national interest in the young minds. But I saw nothing yet still I believe that something will change. But it’s difficult this time. Anna is subjected to use and throw politics. The present ruling party used him to initiate negative propaganda against the then ruling party. It used media in their favour to make him famous and then leave him alone. And when their turn came to return favour they denied and did nothing. Instead mocking him on Twitter and Facebook using trends created by paid it cells. Even our prime minister is a powerful man who manipulates media and system according to his needs.
I don’t know what has happened in 7 years that the same people who termed him Mahatma previously are hoping to get rid of him. Even the image of Mahatma tarnished in this 7 years due to andh bhakts and pseudo nationalist who don’t even know history , you can expect what may happen to Anna.
Even though condemning all the odds he is still fighting hungry sitting in scorching heat in the ramlila maidan.
What does he expect from me?
He doesn’t want me to fast or fight. He just wants our support. If he failed today it will be our ultimate failure. I will not let him fail.
