Anxiety.

Hi everyone, I hope you all are fine.
I am gonna talk about anxiety a little today.

Anxiety is a future oriented mental state which is harmful when it happens excessively to anyone. It is characterised by physical, physiological and psychological tension with an apprehension about the future events. In simple terms, it is the excessive amd constant worrying about something that might happen in future, people with anxiety disorders know that there is nothing to be worried about, yet they are absolutely helpless to overcome their situations. And mind you, anxiety is not fear. Yes, fear is a part of anxiety as anxiety occurs a lot many times because people have fears of various future events or happenings but FEAR IS NOT ANXIETY. Fear is an immediate alert reaction of body to any immediate, externallly imposed danger characterised by strong escaping or attacking tendencies and activated autonomic nervous system. ( eg- elevated blood pressure, heart beat, sweating etc)But both anxiety and fear can work as positive forces as they help us in improving our overall performance as Howard Leddley once called anxiety as “Shadow of intelligence ” but too much of good things are not good. They are even harmful, so too much of anxiety and fearfulness is the point where the problem arises. Guys, this is the time that we all realise that anxiety is a real thing happening to our very own, real people, who need professional help dealing with it. Anxiety or no other mental disorder is a result of a person’s idleness or lack of activity. So, people- please be kind to people having a hard time struggling with their mental sickness and start taking such conditions with as much seriousness as you would a physical or somatic disease-because mental disorders are as real as these. And please do not forget to be kind with such people and treat them with compassion and humanity. That is the least we all can do. Let us all try and break the myths about the psychological disorders by educating ourselves and make our world a better, kinder place to live in.
