From Celebrities To Politicians, How Powerful People Manipulate The Public

Politically powerful people always rule over history. They become the makers of history. I call them manipulative intellectuals – the people we are forced to follow.

For many years, we were ruled by the Mughals. Then came the British. Then the Congress and now the BJP. However, these manipulative intellectuals are not only a part of politics; they are also celebrities, business men, media anchors and others. All of them manipulate the people to their own benefit, only thinking about themselves instead of thinking about society.

Almost everyday in the newspaper, someone makes an irresponsible statement. But they know that their bullshit will make them famours. Every day we read in newspaper someone giving an irresponsible statement which is utterly irrelevant, but they do know that we followers will get in this bullshit making them famous. Everyone looks at the ‘humanitarian’ values of Bill Gates but what if this is a distraction to manipulate us? Look at the BJP! They have got leaders who, in my opinion, are fanatics. They are utterly destroying the democratic environment in our country. But still, Modi and the top brass pretend to be secular to cover up their bullshit.

In India, if you want to be a peon, you need to have passed class 10 and have no police record. If you have even one FIR, you cannot sit in the UPSC examination. But if you want to be a Member of Parliament, you can have many pending criminal cases against you and still be allowed to sit in the Parliament. When it comes to running a country, criminals are perfectly fine.

We always find some news channels favouring the BJP and a few favouring the Congress. But they all manipulate us by not showing the full picture. Why are political parties not transparent with their funding? They think they can do anything they want. They won’t put it on their manifesto though.

During general debates, we see people losing their temper if you say anything against Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi. But this is intolerant and irrational. Why do we need to resort to words like “pappu” and “bhakt”?

Coming to Bollywood, most Indians are die-hard fans of Bollywood actors and actresses. But look at Shahrukh Khan – who, in my opinion, is the best actor in our country – doing advertisements for fairness creams. Yet, people follow him and are ready to die for him. Look at Salman Khan judging “Big Boss”. Celebrities, in my opinion, will do anything to get viewership and money.

All of these people manipulate us because we are easy to manipulate. We are irrational – small beings with small minds. We should try and see the whole picture before commenting on anything.

This is 2018, the age of the internet. Look things up before framing your opinion. Be rational.
