Help India’s Taekwondo Champ Neeshita Kotwal Participate In Olympics 2020

Pune’s 18-year old Neeshita Kotwal has won several gold and silver medals at numerous taekwondo championships across India. Practising taekwondo since she was 10, she has dedicated all her life to the sport. She has also won gold medals at the Federation Games State Championships at both the state and national level. She has also participated and won a number of gold medals at national- level school games. After receiving over 12 medals and participating in more than 15 state and national level championships, Neeshita is setting her sights on the Youth Olympic Games 2018.

A proud father, Sunit Kotwal is doing everything possible to make his daughter’s dream come true. To get qualified and be able to represent India at the Youth Olympics Games 2018 to be held in Hammamet, Tunisia on April 6-7, 2018, Neeshita first needs to participate in the qualifying tournament.

The qualifying tournaments will be held on different dates at separate locations. Neeshita can participate in any one of the following tournaments to qualify for the final event:

February 6-9, Istanbul, Turkey – European Clubs Championships 2018

February 10-14, Istanbul, Turkey – Turkish Open 2018

February 16-18, Fujairah, UAE – 6th Fujairah Open 2018

February 24-25, Alexandria, Egypt 2018 – Egypt Open 2018

February 24-25, Maribor or Slovenia – Slovenia Open 2018

March 1-4 Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia Open Championship 2018

To help this rising star of India achieve her goals, her father Sunit has started a crowd-funding campaign on ImpactGuru.com, a crowd-funding platform. The funds that will be raised for Neeshita will be used for her travelling and participation at various tournaments and her training for the Youth Olympic Games 2018.
