Imran Khan Came To Change Pakistan But Has Pakistan Changed Him?

It is said that age may increase but the heart should be young. This fits Imran Khan perfectly. His heart is young and he’s also youthful in appearance.

Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan got married for the third time. He married his spiritual advisor, Bushra Maneka. They got married at a private ceremony on February 18 in Lahore. His close friends and relatives were also present.

There are few people in the world who, despite crossing the age of 60, have become the ‘most eligible bachelor’ of their country. Even today, if the captain comes out wearing black glasses, then there is the noise of ’emu emu’ anywhere.

In the picture released by the party, Imran Khan’s bride is fully visible on the screen. PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhary said that the newly married couple “knew each other for a long time.”

When Imran Khan stepped into politics, he attracted the country’s youth. People have trusted his slogan to make a ‘new Pakistan’. A new Pakistan has not been created, but in the process, perhaps Imran Khan has become ‘old’.

Interestingly, Imran Khan has also started liking ‘old Pakistan’. Perhaps this is the reason that his bride sitting next to him doesn’t want to show her face to the world. Religious freedom can be argued in this regard. But in opposition to this, an argument can be made that Imran Khan is becoming more favourable to radicals. And the matter becomes more important when elections are held in Pakistan this year.

Imran Khan, who was Pakistan’s captain during their 1992 World Cup victory, is very popular among youngsters. This is his third marriage. His first marriage was to British celebrity Jemima Goldsmith in 1995. They have two sons, but they got divorced in 2004.

After this, TV host Reham Khan was his second wife. But they got separated after just 10 months of marriage. She used to accompany Imran Khan to several rallies.

This year, general elections are to be held in Pakistan. Imran Khan claims that this time his party is “very likely” to come to power. At present, there is a Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) government in Pakistan, headed by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Earlier, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif had to quit the post of Prime Minister due to charges of corruption.

Just like Rahul Gandhi was accused of peddling ‘soft Hindutva’, there is a similar case with Imran Khan. Imran Khan has also been accused of adopting a soft attitude towards the Taliban. Imran’s friendship with Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, who called himself the ‘father’ of Taliban” also raises questions.

Those who want Imran will vote for him. But there are also those in Pakistan who oppose Valentine’s Day, who become anxious about the growing Western influence in the society who advocate Sharia law. But if Imran Khan wants to please these people, then it means that Pakistan has really changed Imran Khan who came to change Pakistan.
