India and pakistan relations

Pakistan and India the two countries celebrates its freedom on 14 and 15 August itself every year. In 1947 the partition of both the countries is considerbed as the largest human migration ever seen and violence over the region . The first Indo-pak war has been fought regarding to take over kashmir in 1947-48 around . This war has been ended on 1 January 1949 when UN arranges ceasefire line and it also recommended that there should be referendum on the kashmir issue to India as held as earlier. In the year 1957 the J&K constituent assembly approves a constitution and this constitution begins to refer to J&K as an integral part of Indian union . In 1965 India and Pakistan fought their second war on which they agree on september 22 to a UN mandated ceasefire .

In 1971 , India and Pakistan go for their third war this time they fought over east pakistan . East pakistan becomes and independent country on 6 december 1971 itself . In 1972 pakistani PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and PM Indira Gandhi signed an agreement in Shimla where both the countries agree to settle any disputes by peaceful means . This designates the ceasefire line of 17 December 1971 . In 1974 on 18 May India detonates a nuclear device at Pokhran . In 1999 PM AB Vajpayee meets Nawaz Sharif in Lahore to sign the Lahore Declaration the first major agreement between the two countries since 1972 shimla accord. On December 13, an armed gunmen attacked on the Indian parliament in New Delhi in which 14 people died .

On 26 November 2008 , armed gunmen openly fire in Mumbai in which 166 people died . Ajmal kasab was the only attacker who captured alive . In 2010 Kasab was held for guilty of murder in Mumbai attacks case and he is sentenced to death . In September 2013  the Pime Ministers of India and pakistan met in UN general assembly in New York. On 27 May 2014  Modi holds talks with Pak PM Sharif in New Delhi .

In January 2016 six gunmen attack an Indian air force in Pathankot in which several soldiers died that lasted for four days . In July 2016 Indian soldiers killed Hizbul Mujahedin leader Burhan Wani sparking months of Anti India protests . In 2017 on 10 april , Kulbhushan Jhadav sentenced to death by general court Marshal . On 18 May International court of justice stays his death sentence and Pakistan rejects this Saarc sat .
