This was the first time when I visited jorhat, Assam. Since I didn’t know the in and out of trade so I had spent some time in my in-laws house at Teok, I observed Assam is rich for oil, tea plantation, agriculture, handicrafts but I tried to figure out the best way of survival of farmers, I had noticed that the quality of soil is very productive and can grow sufficient trees. So their I started my journey of cultivation of agarwood now I have ten agarwood tree home grown at the backyard, these tree are highly valuable for medical purposes, it can be extracted to produce oudh (attar) which is rich component for perfurmer. So their I started to work out with the garden. Since forest rules are strict so I am not able to start any trade with the trees but I am seeking help currently from the government, NGO’s, agricultural research institute to assist the local community to spread awareness on agarwood and to help the farming community develop. The reason behind this is because I have seen illiteracy, lack of employment and job opportunity for the youth.
