Railway Recruitment 2018
This year, the Railway Recruitment Board is inviting over 2.5 Lakhs of vacancies for the aspiring candidates. Currently, the Railway Department has opened recruitment for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot & Technician and RRB Group- “D” Posts. In this article, we will be providing you the information about the different posts of the Railway Recruitment 2018.
Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:
The Railway Recruitment Board has recently released online application forms for Assistant Loco Pilot and Group- “D” Posts. For RRB ALP and Technician Posts, the Railway Recruitment Board is offering 26, 502 vacancies and for RRB Group- “D” Posts, the RRB is inviting 62, 907 vacancies.
Railway Recruitment 2018 Application Forms:
The Application Forms will be available online in the 21 Regional RRBs. The online application forms were available from 28th Feb 2018 and the last date to submit the application form is 31st March 2018.
Railway Recruitment 2018 Application Fees:
The Application Fees of the Railway Recruitment is Rs 500/- for UR and OBC Categories. The application fees for Reserved categories is Rs 250/-. The application fees an be paid either offline or online. The application fee is refundable for both the categories they appear the Examination. Rs 400/- will be refunded in case of UR/OBC Categories. This initiative is taken by the Railway Recruitment Board so as to ensure maximum participation from the candidates.
Railway Recruitment 2018 Exam Dates:
Currently, the Railway Recruitment Board has not declared the official dates for the Computer Based Test. It is expected that, that exam will take place in the month of April/May 2018. The dates for 2nd Stage CBT has not been declared yet by the Railway Recruitment Board. The exam dates will be notified soon for both RRB ALP and Group- “D” 2018.
Railway Recruitment 2018 Exam Pattern:
The Railway Recruitment Board will conduct the Examination online only. The candidates who will be appearing for the ALP Recruitment has to undergo through the following stages of selection-
- First Stage Computer Based Test
- Second Stage Computer Based Test
- Aptitude Skills Test
- Document Verification
The candidates who are appearing for the Group- “D” Test have to undergo through the following selection stages-
- Computer Based Test
- Physical Efficiency Test and
- Document Verification
Pattern of the Examination: ALP (First Stage)
- The questions will be asked in multiple objective type questions.
- The examination will be held online.
- The language mode of the Examination is English as well as 15 different regional languages.
In case of ALP, there will be a total of 75 questions with 60 minutes of time duration.
The questions will be asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness on Current Affairs and General Science.
- For every correct answer, the candidate will be rewarded with 1 mark and for every wrong answer, 1/3rd mark will be deducted.
- Minimum percentage of marks for all the categories- UR (40%), OBC (30%), SC(30%) and ST (25%).
Second Stage Computer Based Test (ALP):
The second stage CBT consists of two parts- Part A and B.
- In Part A, there will be a total of 100 Questions with a total time duration of 90 minutes.
- All the above pattern mentioned is same.
- In Part B, the qualifying mark is 35%. This qualifying mark is applicable for all the candidates. No relaxation is applied.
- The questions will be asked from Relevant Trade. The total number of questions asked is 75 with a total time duration of 60 minutes.
Computer Based Aptitude Test-
- This test is taken only by those candidates who have opted for Assistant Loco Pilot.
- The candidate has to score a minimum of 42 marks in each test batteries.
- There is no negative marking.
- The ALP merit list will be prepared with 70% weightage marks obtained in Part A of second stage and 30% weightage of marks obtained in the Aptitude Skills Test.
Document Verification:
- Based on the performances in the CBT Rounds and aptitude skills test, the candidates will be called for the Document verification.
- The candidates who submits more than one application form will be disqualified from the Examination.
Admit Cards for ALP 2018-
The admit cards will be released 15 days before the Date of Examination. The Admit cards will be available online. The candidates can download the Admit card by entering their Registration Number and Date of Birth. The Admit card is a mandatory document and no candidate will be allowed to sit to in the Examination Hall without an Admit cards. It is always advised to keep the Admit c ard safe till the completion of the Recruitment Process.
Railway Recruitment 2018 Results:
The Results of ALP will be declared online. The dates for declaring the results have not been declared yet. It will be notified soon by the Railway Recruitment Board. The candidates will be selected to the further stages of the Recruitment process through the declaration of the Results.
