5 Reasons Why I Think BJP Went From 0 To 40 Seats In Tripura

“Acche din aane waale hai” was the slogan which changed Indian politics. It was 2014 – the beginning of a ‘new India’ and the start of a new era for the BJP too. The party which found considerable support and voter base in the aftermath of the Ram Mandir issue had a full majority for the first time. There was a strong strategy and political agenda behind their success. It also had the advantage of being in the opposition, which helped them corner the Manmohan Singh-led government. And finally, there was the ‘Gujarat model’ to which the Congress had no answer. Ultimately, Narendra Modi was elected as the Prime Minister.

After the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP started expanding throughout the country and now has a presence in 20 states. Its truly incredible that India is approaching towards an almost ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’. In my opinion, it’s only a matter of time before the whole country is coloured saffron. There is no doubt that people have deep faith in the PM and the work he’s doing.

A few days back, the results of the elections in the Northeast states were declared – and in Tripura, the BJP went from 0 to 40 seats. Really, it’s very impressive. Now, why did people vote for the saffron colour? There are a number of reasons for this, in my opinion.

1.  Modi’s vision. He is capable of taking hard decisions like GST and notebandi.

2. In the 4 years of Modi’s government, there’s not been a corruption case of a magnitude comparable to the ones during UPA’s time.

3. A number of markets associated with black money have taken a hit due to notebandi, and this may have influenced the voters’ choice.

4. The weak state of the opposition throughout the country.

5. The Prime Minister’s impactful rallies.

The saffron party has now become virtually unbeatable now. It is indeed the strongest and the brightest right now.
