Why Does Amar Singh Say Different Things?

Despite sliding trend in the vote share of the Uttar Pradesh by-elections, the Congress party makes a satisfactory stance as it should be. What it finds worth acceptable is the BJP’s defeat after the BSP-SP combination. Its vote share has come down to less than 20,000 in Gorakhpur and Phulpur, where it bagged 45719 and 56127 votes in 2014 respectively.

Caring a fig over the lowering voting percentage, it wants to realise the latest grand victory over the rival BJP. The party leaders’ analysis and reactions were desperately eulogising every inch of changed scenario in Uttar Pradesh. The attempt to come collectively goes on without disrupting the winning parties’ tempo. There was seemingly disillusionment and discontent among the people against the present state government that seems to be dictatorial and overconfident.

A rush of excitement sweeps over the Congress party all of a sudden. Even the party president Rahul Gandhi cannot wait an extra moment for drawing solace in the Bhartiya Janata Party’s defeats. In turn, he gets derisive comments from the beaten party leaders.

It is now being projected as if Rahul Gandhi will have to be entirely dependent on the other secular progressive parties for his revival in the country’s politics.

The time has come to say goodbye to tough political stances. Why does Amar Singh say the different thing? He said that the bond of BSP-SP was like snake and man trapped on the same tree.

The Congress, the SP, the BSP, the Communists and others are not maintaining a stance emulating Oliver Hardy’s constant refrain to Stan Laurel. There is no political future in this kind of perception.

It is surely Mayawati who has shown the way to success. The Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad sees the weight in the BSP’s forward moves. Minutes seem like hours to Congressmen as is clear from the approach of the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Her dinner diplomacy gives evidence to the different stance.
