‘Every Time A Woman Speaks Up, She Is Judged’: Watch This To Know Why

Women in India, and all over the world, have come a long way, but the journey has neither been easy nor equitable. We are at this juncture in the life of our nation where all genders must come together and work together for what is overdue to more than one half of us. And #BridgingTheGap is the only way forward.

From underhand sexism to regressive norms and horrific practices, atrocities are inflicted on women and minorities in the name of culture and family traditions. For generations, we have been reduced to silent spectators and complicit accomplices in the hands of those who choose to prohibit equality, freedom, and representation.

#BridgingTheGap is a movement to facilitate uncomfortable conversations that are imperative for us to recognise and acknowledge our own deep-seated gender bias and patriarchal attitudes. We bring together those voices from across genders, ideologies, cultures, castes and class, who are breaking the silence and silos and compelling us to speak up for equality and empowerment of genders.

Be a part of The Caravan Magazine’s action-oriented initiative to address gender inequality by giving a platform to uncomfortable conversations at The Bridge, March 24, 2018, at Shangri La, New Delhi.
