As A Concerned Resident, 3 Serious Issues I Want CM Chouhan To Address In MP

Respected CM Shivraj Chouhan – first of all, I want to inform you that I am resident of Khachrod Tehsil that comes under the Ujjain district. Khachrod is 32 km from Ratlam and 14 km from Nagda Junction. I would also like to congratulate you for 13 years of governance.

As a concerned and aware resident, I would like to grab your attention regarding some important issues. We are seriously doing terribly in these sectors:

Malnutrition

Yes, it’s a matter of shame that in the 21st century, we the people of Madhya Pradesh are witnessing malnutrition. The tribal districts of Madhya Pradesh, i.e Alirajpur, Dhar, Shahdol, etc, are severe victims of malnutrition. One can’t imagine that even now, people are dying of hunger.

Crime Against Children

Again, this is a very sensitive issue. In Madhya Pradesh, there is a huge section where crime against children is at an extreme level. More than 6,000 children were kidnapped in 2016 in Madhya Pradesh and this is only the number which was officially published. Many were not even registered.

Madhya Pradesh ranks third in crimes against children (after Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra). Overall, crimes against children showed a 3 % increase in 2016 (10,6958) compared to 2015’s count (94,172). Around 2,300 girls were kidnapped for marriage in Madhya Pradesh in 2016.

Rape Cases In Madhya Pradesh

The heart of our great nation is known as the ‘rape state’ of India. Madhya Pradesh records the most number of rape cases in India. The state has been the ‘rape state’ for over 6 years now. The NCRB data shows 4,882 rape complaints across the state, that is 13 rapes per day.

These are serious concerns which bother me day and night. On one hand, we are growing with a pace of Arabi horse, and on the other hand, we are not even capable of giving a safe and secure environment to the people.

Sir, what actions have been taken by you to tackle all these issues? What is the roadmap to overcome such shame?

You have been governing the state for the last 13 years. It’s a long long time for anybody to overcome such issues. But we failed, why? Yes, this problem is not of the government but of the society too, but as you are the CM, you too are accountable to answer such concerns.

In Madhya Pradesh, there is a huge gap between the rich and the poor. In what era are we living?

I would like to conclude it by suggesting to you that you should pay more attention towards such issues and work 24×7 to curb on it. Thirteen years is a long duration to solve any such issue – you should accept your failure and work on it.
