BJP Leader Breaks Down On Camera After Being Denied Ticket For Karnataka Elections

Karnataka BJP Leader Shashil G Namoshi crying with his head in his hands at a press conference after being denied a ticket for Karnataka elections.

Crying for an election ticket seems a little odd for a politician. But it happened in Karnataka, where the political atmosphere is warming up for the upcoming assembly elections. Generally, political leaders change their party in such cases. Shashil G Namoshi, a BJP leader, however, started weeping at not making it to the candidates’ list.

In a short video clip, he visibly breaks down, while his supporters try to console him, apparently because of the shock of  being denied a ticket.

Namoshi had fought the last assembly election from the Gulbarga Dakshin constituency on Janata Dal (Secular) ticket in 2013. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Karnataka for 12 years.

However, the BJP politician did not find his name on the second list  of candidates released on Monday. Although he was expecting his turn with complete confidence for contesting the election from Gulbarga constituency, yet only disappointment came to his hand.

In the first list, the BJP picked up Dattatreya Patil Revur from Gulbarga Dakshin. In the second list, C B Patil was chosen for another Gulbarga seat, thereby dashing Namoshi’s hopes.
