Existing Threat To The Original Pure & Pluralistic Soul Of India: Stand Up & Oppose

We can perceive a seriously dangerous attempt being made by the fascist communal forces led by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to destroy the pluralistic, secular and democratic fabric of our incredible nation. In fact, the diverse and dissenting voices are now getting blocked, attacked and silenced. Democratic and peaceful protests are being suppressed through inappropriate and indecent tactics. Students are being suspended, they are being asked to pay huge fines without citing any proper reasons. No one is allowed to uphold their personal views, opinions and ideas in this so-called ‘new India’.

Many neoteric incidents expose the propaganda of a menacing political machinery which is out to demolish our humanistic, liberal, democratic, secular and scientific outlooks and ideologies. Huge funds using power, favour and positions are being collected from the crony capitalist forces to enhance and strengthen their economic growth. The actual ‘new India’ at present is a heaven for people like Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya.

Rape, corruption, unemployment, the problems of farmers, the problems faced by medium and small scale industries are not considered to be important enough under the present BJP government.

Discontent is increasing due to the discriminatory, anti-women, anti-Dalit and anti-minority policies of the present government under Narendra Modi. Hostile situations are nourished by the RSS-BJP led Sangh Parivar. It makes the present situation much worse in this new age of extreme global discontent. Equality, peace, harmony, love and freedom should be our primary goals forever. These values can only be guaranteed if the Constitution is protected by the committed voices of citizens, including students.

The institutions in our country seem to be under threat. Even premier institutes like Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Hyderabad Central University (HCU) are not free from these perils. Attempts to humiliate the youth need to be warded off.

Our common enemy has reached the front door and it’s our time to act wisely. They will misuse or misinterpret our customs, they will promote terror, riots and tensions. Their political target is to polarise Indians on extreme communal and religious grounds to establish an anti-secular ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Our venerated ideas and values like democracy and justice are in peril.

In this scenario, when our Constitution, institutions, rights and history are all under attack, we must wake up and inform ourselves about the actual facts. But in my opinion, the paid media is hiding reality from the people. Unethical and immoral journalism is growing around the country. And those who are showing valour in writing down the truth are forced to live in complete fear. They are getting lynched, shot or harassed, defamed, threatened and tortured.

The same treacherous section (obviously the propounders of Hindutva politics) is not bothered about the serious and sensitive questions – the doubts about the future raised by the Indian people, mainly the youth. They don’t show any concern for these issues. We have to put forward an inclusive-based based vision originating from the legacies of great masters like Mahatma Gandhi to build an India which could fulfil the dreams, hopes and aspirations of our young men and women.

Now, it’s the responsibility and duty of each and every one of us to protect our rights and dignity which are guaranteed under the Constitution drafted by our beloved Babasaheb. We have to raise our clenched fist in solidarity with the voices of the deprived and marginalised sections. Their voices should also be heard louder in this time of massive socio-economic and political distress.
