For Dalit rights Or Against Dalit rights.

Nowadays, Political reaction is always for beneficial of self of mla’s and rarely for good for the public.

but I want to ask Why so much hype ? why so much protest ?And the prime question arises here is did we know about this rule before the dilution of the act?
Let’s try to understand. What has actually happened here?
Parties just found the other way to start the blame game.
All sc/st People didn’t know about these rights before dilutions,Yes you read it right, one of my sc friend said that she never knew about the right until it broke into news.
So what’s actually happening?
People are worried about loosing the right they never knew they had!
They came together, started a protest , burned buses, shops, destroyed public property ,pelted stones and not to forget to mention blocked several trains.

Did they do a right thing?

The one who are asking rights against injustice and violence, are themselves now disrupting the social norm and creating violence.Point to be noted.
But wait are these people dalit or upper caste?
Do you think an Indian community would like to do this, where a community of farmers have already created exemplar of protest.
Nope,These are not protesters. These are goons thugs criminals being given license to run riot in the streets. So this is not the protest of suppressed society but the political play of the government we trust.
Now what exactly is sc/st atrocity act ?
It saves them from humiliation, protects them for atrocities and the most important point, the act allow citizen belonging to sc/st lodge a complain against the one who include or point their caste in the conversation direct or indirect. The accused will not able to apply for bail for min 3 days.
So what did the dilution do?
The court removed a provision for automatic arrests of those accused under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and made it mandatory for the police to conduct preliminary inquiries within seven days of a complaint before filing a first information report. The judgement also stated that public servants can be arrested under this law only with the written permission of their public authority.
Why did this happen?
People misuse the very law made to protect them. So if the false complaint is logged, then shouldn’t it’s veracity checked first?
If the very complaint is registered without verifying the facts isn’t it against the basic law of an Indian.  And it also deprives us from the fair opportunity to defend ourselves from it.
Many cases false cases are filed in rural areas. Every time there is a fight it is given an angle of caste.
But the main reason was after the director of technical education filed an appeal. A dalit employee had filed a case against him under this law for not allowing him to prosecute his immediate superior officers whom he had primarily accused of committing a case of atrocity.  The appellant then filed the cased to bombay high to quash the proceeding, the high court rejected it and then he moved to supreme court. And hence, came this decision.
Courts have actually regularly failed to consider a crime being committed because of the victim’s caste. In the 2006 Khairlanji massacre case in Maharashtra, one of the most infamous caste crimes in history, the court declined to see the ‘caste angle’ to the crime and thus didn’t use this act. In 2002, five dalits were lynched and burned to death by a mob for alleged cow slaughter in Jhajjar, Haryana, the Act was not applied. The accused, apparently, were not aware of the victims’ caste.

In Kilvenmani, Tamil Nadu, 44 dalit labourers were burned alive by landlords on December 25, 1968. The Madras High Court simply acquitted the accused, stating that they were respectable landlords, ‘some of whom owned cars’, and can never commit such a heinous crime. In the 1992 Bhanwari Devi rape case in Rajasthan, the court dismissed it, saying higher-caste Gujjars could not possibly rape a lower-caste woman. The so-called ‘false cases’, as well as most ‘failed cases’, are the product of the intricate caste dynamics.

Combining all these incident gave us SC/ST atrocity act.So was it the right thing to do?

No and Yes, I’m neither in favor nor in opposition of this act.

Why?

It is because of us, that people misuse the law and victimize their inferior.

How?

we talk about development but give reservation to different community.

we talk about discrimination but people want their community should be given special status.

we talk about unity but states ask for special status.

we talk about equality but seat is reserved to sc/st/obc/marathas/gujjars and the list continues..

we talk about secularism but ask poor to change their religion

we talk about change and then turns our head to asaram bapu and radhe ma.

we don’t want all these but still, we are entrapped in these and still we complain about how people take advantage of being sc/st or obc or muslim or marathi or gujjar or banya.

Mind you these are the tactics played by parties to create division among us. There is no hindu no muslim no gujjar no maratha no sc no st no obc no jatt no rajput or brahmin but the politics, played by the parties to bask in the glory of power and money.

And the catch here is that who are benefited from this division us or politicians? So choose wisely a reservation for a caste or a new agenda of politicians.Do they really want what’s good for us?So we should ask do we really want to develop? Do we really want to remove discrimination? Do we really want change? or Do we really want to change? Everything depend on us and if yes then why talk about caste ,communities and reservations. So we should ask ourselves is this division a necessary evil part of our lives? or is there better way to look at the pictures?A picture where people are not defined by their caste or religion or culture but by being Indian.Where we stop saying “Rajput hai hum sir dhar se alag kar denge” , “Brahmin gotra hai humara nech jat ke sath shadi ni” ,”maratha desh hai yeh”and try to create India “where we say Bharatiyen hai hum”.
