Her struggle lives……

She might not be among us,but her struggle lives, her strength lives and her endurance prevails. She might not be one of us-but her smile brightens, her dreams shine and her breath draws.

Look at it all tumble-her struggle failing, her strength finishing and her endurance in vain.Look at it all crumple-her smile fades, her dreams collapse and her breath- a mere gasp.

Why …now we can’t even say “Why only her”?Because now its every single woman, every woman who is a mother,a sister,a daughter,a wife,a friend-and most of all an individual. An individual who has now been isolated by a male-dominated society where every role that she plays is put to test, every duty she performs is questioned and every right she deserves is snatched, where every step makes her feel it might be wrong, where every breath is scared to be drawn and where tears of fear fail to fall out of the terror itself. She is not free to imagine,to feel,to enjoy the way she wants to live life-her decisions are always the wrong ones, her character can always be questioned, her fears can always be fed upon and her world can always be invaded.Solely because she is a woman..a figure which is tortured and tormented in the very place it is worshipped,a power which is an afflatus to many more suffering like her.Her voice is never loud enough to be heard by us,her pain is never enough to be treated, her wounds are never  so severe as  to remain unhealed, her tears are never enough to moisten our eyes ,her dreams never shine enough to be visible and her life is never worth living. We have finally given her a reason to not be amongst us,we have eventually helped her to escape more of the dread that would be a part of her life….she is a woman.
