The media rights were bagged by Star India who was declared as the holder of IPL media rights from 2018-2022. Star India won the auction with a consolidated global bid worth Rs 16347.50 crores. Star outbid current broadcaster Sony’s bid of Rs 11058 crore to bag the rights.
