By 2021, This Hotel May Let Us Experience Life In Space. At ₹62 Crore Per Person

During our childhood, we used to love watching stars in the sky and imagining life in space. Now, we can get ready to experience life in space. A luxury space hotel is going to be built in Aurora station. It is being developed by Orion Span, a US-based tech startup company. It is expected to be launched by late 2021.

The official announcement was made on April 5 at the Space 2.0 Summit in San Jose, California.

In a press release, Orion Span said it would take a 3-month training programme to prepare travellers to go to the space station. The 12-day experience starts at ₹62 crore per person and can be booked by paying a refundable deposit of almost ₹52 lakh per person.

Frank Bunger, CEO and the founder of Orion Span, said“Almost every week, there’s another rocket-launch company that’s starting up with a new way to get to orbit cheaper, faster, better.”

According to their website, travellers will enjoy the exhilaration of zero gravity, take part in research experiments such as growing food while in orbit, and will be able to take pictures of their home towns.

The height at which the station will be orbiting is about 320 km above the earth’s surface. There will be four travellers and two crew members.

Many entrepreneurs have also talked about this topic. Last year, Elon Musk said his company planned to send two private citizens on a trip around the moon. Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, and entrepreneur Richard Branson aim to give tourists short rides to the edge of space. Richard Branson has reportedly signed up celebrities including Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio and Katy Perry.

Now perhaps we shall be able to experience what we saw in films like “Passengers” and cartoons like “The Jetsons”.
