It’s been four years since the RSS’ rule encroached upon the civilian and political rights of people belonging to the minorities. Yet, the principal political opposition party, the Indian National Congress (INC), has miserably failed in containing the rise of hate-spreading organisations across the country. Minority communities and Dalit organisations are busy calculating their political future and have had to make alliances with opportunistic politicians.
With every passing day, it is becoming more and more evident that religious bigotry can only be contained by the communists who have proved their credentials in the past, having played a significant role in defeating the Nazis. Yes, economically, the communist ideology might have failed but those who corrected their mistakes have proven successful – two examples being Vietnam and Kerala.
Using icons like Bhagat Singh, Swami Vivekananda, Subash Chandra Bose and other nationalist leaders, the RSS has intelligently mixed them among others like Savarkar. The world is forgetting the socialist Bhagat Singh, the secular Vivekananda and the patriotic Bose. The RSS is determined to change every page of history. I can easily imagine the BJP deleting the historical data in thousands of terabytes. The Nazis had to pile up books and burn them. But the advancement of technology puts our secular heritage in even greater danger.
I can already see the minorities, the Dalits and farmers raising the red flag in every street of the country. In a very short time, this fire for justice will reach the power-hungry RSS shakhas. But before these shakhas fill innocent minds with hatred, the truth must be explained.
The RSS draws its ideology, among other sources, from the “Manusmriti”. All the backward classes in the country are being misled with the idea of a ‘Hindu rashtra‘. The RSS believes in a patriarchal, Brahminical society as set out in the “Manusmriti”.
The Dravidian, matriarchal south India has held its ground against these communal forces. Only the far Left can take on and fight the far Right till the very end. The war has just begun, and it’s a long way ahead. Let’s unite and bring universal happiness through universal health care, better education, and universal basic income. Inquilab Zindabad! Jai hind!
