‘Oh! Sexual Crimes’ – We Are Outraged!

Representational image.

Pussy! ” we call a man who is afraid,
Yet, we want our women to be brave.
Oh! Sexual crimes” – we are outraged,
But, isn’t it sexism that we all portray?

We body-shame her for her measures,
We objectify her in item numbers,
We slut-shame her for her dresses,
Oh! But, sexual crimes” – we are outraged!

But hasn’t she got terms to behave?
And why? Because she is a woman!
Or rather, she was not born a man –
What chance she stands till her grave?

She can conceive – that’s her right.
It’s her sensuality that’s disallowed,
As, expressing it – that might
Tell that she is a slut, all aloud!

Oh! She is a broodmare. Isn’t that right?
Cos we are stallions by our birth-right.
But haven’t we given her equal rights?
We allow her to work. Isn’t that right?

But things always smell otherwise –
We don’t recruit her due to prejudice,
Or recruit her for things otherwise.
Has the pay been equalised at least?

Chastity is made a woman’s honour,
Or is it really a mark of dishonour?
Are not men honourable creatures?
Or are they their inherent features?

Have we shamed a man recently
In the honourable name of chastity?
But, women – we do very commonly
As they are the ones bound to be!

Said who to you, might I ask?”
Some men who cannot be chaste
Have made it a woman’s task
That men are free not to be chaste.

Oh! Marital rapes – that’s out of sight.
They are consensual even as per the law,
For marriage gives one the right
To have sex! And a girl can only deny once!

Have we not always had this feeling?
When She can do what He cannot.
Sexism – yes, it is an oppressive feeling
To judge, discriminate and stereotype.

Oh! Sexual crimes’ – we are outraged
Oh! But sexual crimes‘ – we are outraged
Oh! All these crimes do hurt us a lot
As all of our sexist masks abort!
