Dear Modi Ji, Who’s Politicising The Kathua And Unnao Rape Cases – Us Or The Govt?

I have been reading news articles, opinions, Facebook posts and tweets on the rape cases in Kathua and Unnao. I have wondered why the BJP didn’t generally comment on any of the cases where the criminals are associated with their party. I was expecting some form of condemnation from our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. After all, he does use Twitter to post birthday wishes, recovery messages, etc.

On Sunday morning, I read an article which said that PM Modi had spoken about the Kathua and Unnao rape cases asking us not to politicise the incidents. This got me thinking about politics, the act of politicising issues, and who the ones who politicise issues really are.

I wanted to share my thoughts, and I immediately recorded a video about my thoughts on the act of ‘politicising’ issues in India, and the people responsible. In the video, I have also also expressed my inability to understand why I am yet to hear from PM Modi the measures he is going to take to reduce rapes and sexual harassment in India. Maybe, taking action on those criminals in his own party could be a good starting point?
