Urge To Splurge

Splurging is a necessity or a need which we as the youth of the country have to understand. Being a youth in today’s time we must need to understand how we all are splurging in some way or the other. It has been assumed that the people who are splurging are helping the economy through shopping. Are we really splurging or are we all compulsive buyers? Understanding from the economic perspective we really need to draw a clear distinction between compulsive buyers and the ones who are splurging. Splurging can be understood as something which despite having something we have the urge to buy more. The youth love spending and it’s become a part of their habit.

Splurging has been a misunderstood concept and I’m not telling the people to stop buying but to stop unnecessary buying which creates the need for more. The greed for more is never ending and greed gives rise to being compulsive shopaholics. For example, if we already have 5 bags we can say that there is enough but the need for having more rises soon this can be called in a way we are splurging on the things which we don’t need.

From my point of view, splurging has become a necessity and we all have fallen trap to in today’s time. In my experience, I honestly confess that I am a shopaholic who loves shopping but there is a stop to my splurging since the time I have got to know about it. Splurging is something which can be controlled our needs and our greed for a particular thing. Controlling needs is difficult as we all are driven to need of more and our desire increases the minute a new product comes in the market. We all have fallen into the vicious trap of unnecessary splurging.

According to a lot of youth, we are inclined to splurge buying and we end buying those things which we really don’t need. And we are not able to curb our desires as we have been trapped. Despite having all the things, we still end of buying the things which we really don’t need. We need to question ourselves do we really need this? But still, we in many times end up buying unnecessary things.

To conclude, one could say is that splurging can be curbed through our desires and our inner greed. Before buying anything we really need to question ourselves do we really need this? From this, we can draw a conclusion that splurging can stop through our greed and we can control it is through our need for desire and want.
