The following poem is the contemporary take on the poem “where the mind is without fear” by Rabindranath Tagore.
Where women are without fear and roam free
Where equality is not a mere dream
Where the humans have not turned into beasts
By the narrow male delight
Where words like consent and No doesn’t equal to silence
Where humanity and acceptance of difference has not lost their existence
Where the justice has not lost its way
Into the protection of the heinous perpetrators
Where the development is led by compassion
And the government is not blinded by the electoral politics
Into that secure country not in mine, my father, let the females born and live.
