My CLAT Examination At NLU Kochi Turned Into My Worst Nightmare

Like thousands of budding CLAT aspirants, I left my home on May 13, 2018, with a smile on my face. I had promised my mother that I wouldn’t let her down. Unfortunately, NLU Kochi had other plans.

It had been a year since I started preparing for my CLAT because I wanted to get admitted into a good law school.  As I reached the centre, I was shocked to see how the examination was being managed. It was rather pathetic. The centre had only one biometric identification system for the whole floor.

The seats had been allotted randomly, as if it were part of some joke. There was only a single invigilator who didn’t know how to handle digital technology.

I started my exam around 3 pm. When I started attempting the questions, they were getting skipped – one or two questions at a time. I started to panic. But what truly made me cry was that my Maths section mostly had no questions. The few questions that were there had half the supposed number of options. I felt shattered, as if my entire previous year had been wasted.

I left the centre, came home and saw that a big issue had been made out of the CLAT examination this year. I never expected something like this to happen even in my worst nightmares.  For all those who experienced similar trouble with CLAT this year, let us fight for our rights. Our whole life depends on it. I’m sure NLU Kochi made a lot of money off CLAT. Let us unite to prevent these people from destroying our future.
