Asifa: A Flower Crushed is a movie by The ANTS following the abduction, rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl in Kathua. The main accused involved in the case was a local priest who is also an ex-income tax official, a juvenile, and police personnel.
However, the film is not a tale of the horrific incident. Rather, it talks about the short lifespan of a kid who lived and dreamt about having a bright future and a loving life. Rather, she was faced with the cruel realities of life, days before she was raped and killed. It takes you back to the life of 8-year-old through her parents and shows you how a life was ended due to hatred and if that’s not all, she faced hatred even after death as she wasn’t allowed to be buried even in her own village.
