Be Calm And Enjoy Life

It was the middle of the night, the pale light of the moon was coming through the window of my room. My mind was reacting to ‘evil’ that dances in the moonlight. My thoughts were as deep as a well, and I was trying hard to come out of them. A day before, I came to know something inappropriate about my friend whom I trusted a lot. Yes, it is true, sometimes we trust a person a lot and we think that they have a soft corner for us too.

As we all know, friendship is a relation we make at a personal level. Friendship is a relationship between two people who hold mutual affection for each other. But sometimes we reach nowhere in some of the relations. Besides this, we have a lot of other problems as well. Belonging to a middle-class family, I had to work hard to become a successful person in my life. It is very important for me to be something in my life, make my parents proud, and help those helped me in my dark days.

On that night, thoughts were swinging like a hula hoop. I was blaming the life I was living.

My whole night was spent in over-thinking. Gradually I heard the birds chirping. I got out of the bed and came out of my room to feel the fresh rays of the sun. “Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows fall behind you.” This phrase by my grandmother helps me to overcome negative thoughts.

I started my day drinking a cup of tea and reading the newspaper. There was the news was about conflict. Everywhere in the world, there is tension, people are suffering a lot everywhere. But those thoughts from last night were still running through my mind when suddenly I heard the doorbell. The moment I opened the door, I saw a man standing in front of me, wearing a ragged t-shirt. But my eyes caught something very interesting and motivating written on the t-shirt. “Be Calm and Enjoy Life”

His smile taught me that happiness is not readymade. It comes from our own actions and positive thinking. With this, I started my day with a new thinking where I understood that no matter what, just live life the happily and freely.
