‘She Creates Change’: 30 Women Who Can Empower Thousands More

Change.org India is excited to announce the launch of the third edition of the “She Creates Change” Programme.

30 women from across India will gather to share, learn and run campaigns. From parental rights to health. From education to equality in the workplace. These women will learn how to create the change they want to see.

What is the programme about?

The “She Creates Change” is a year-long program of support, training and community-building for women campaigners across India who want to work on campaigns that impact women and girls’ issues.

The program focuses on developing core campaign skills and building a campaigning ecosystem where women changemakers feel empowered and supported to start and run their campaigns.

Recognising that campaigning can feel inaccessible and intimidating to many people, the program starts off with a 5-day residential program called “Learning Lab” in Bengaluru which is followed by a year-long online course.

During the “Learning Lab”, changemakers begin their year-long journey with a 5-day experiential workshop where they learn via storytelling, art, music and group work. It’s a powerful experience that leads to self-discovery and the creation of powerful community bonds.

The year-long online program builds campaign skills and community collaborations so that Changemakers can drive their campaigns to impact!

Alumnus from the previous learning lab who took part in the training includes Masooma Ranalvi fighting to end FGM, Subarna Ghosh whose campaign exposed dangerous levels of C-sections, and Priyanka Gupta changing laws for single parents.

Who should apply?

We’re looking for 30 motivated women changemakers who want to run campaigns on issues that impact women in India – in any field. Selected changemakers must be passionate about their cause, have clear campaign ideas, a willingness to collaborate, work with and support their fellow changemakers. Changemakers must also make a commitment to complete the entire one-year online programme and run a campaign.

Click on this link to apply. The deadline for all applications is 10 May 2018.
