We come across a number of biopics from Bollywood every year. I would like to talk about the biopics scheduled for release in 2018.
Rajkumar Hirani, who directed blockbusters like “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S”, “3 Idiots” and “PK” is now coming up with a biopic on Sanjay Dutt which is titled “Sanju”. Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Sanjay Dutt in the film which also stars Manisha Koirala and Dia Mirza in the lead roles.
Kangana Ranaut will be portraying Rani Laxmibai in her upcoming film “Manikarnika”. The writer of “Baahubali”, K Vijayendra Prasad, who had also provided the story for Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has penned the script for the film and it will be directed by Tollywood director Krish.
Another much-awaited biopic is “Shakeela” which will star Richa Chadha in the lead role. Shakeela is an actress from Kerala who acted in many adult films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
Hrithik Roshan is portraying the role of mathematician Anand Kumar in the film “Super 30”. Anand is the founder of the initiative Super 30 where he selects 30 students every year from economically backward sections and trains them for IIT and JEE entrance exams.
We have come across biopics on sportspersons like MS Dhoni and Milkha Singh and now, a biopic on the hockey legend Sandeep Singh is all set for the release on June 9.
Film lovers have many biopics to look forward to from Bollywood in 2018.
