Kashmira Doctor who is putting all her heart and soul to save her father Percy Doctor. Percy a daunting father and loving person has been fighting Brain hemorrhage and a massive heart attack together.
Percy had a cerebral-cardiac arrest on 4th December 2017. Due to this he received a brain stroke and a heart attack together. He had been admitted in the ICU for over 80 days over various hospitals.
One of the complications resulted in a huge buildup of intra-cranial pressure(ICP) resulting in mass effect in the brain. This resulted in the removal of a 6 and a half inch portion of his skull to alleviate the pressure in the brain (A surgery called Craniotomy). It is only recently that Percy has started to breath on his own & the dependency on the machine removed.
The total cost of over 55 lacs INR till date has been incurred on the family. The cost is expected to further inflate as they have another neuro-surgery scheduled for which Percy is currently in a neuro-rehab facility to for extensive and extremely costly neuro-rehab treatment. The treatment included robotics and hyperbaric oxygen therapy among others.
Percy is currently undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, neuro-rehab is his only hope at getting better and living a normal life.
After using up all their savings on Percy’s treatment, Kashmira has to crowdfunding’s aid and started a crowdfunding platform on ImpactGuru.com for saving her father’s life.
