Menstruation taboos should be questioned

The taboos, myths and beliefs around menstruation has been a age long story. From generations we have been following the same trend, dos and don’ts during menstruation and have been passing it on to our further generations. Yet, we see that none of us had had the courage to question how and why does this even take place. From not entering the temples to Not touching pickles or even food for that matter is something we find in our own families even today. Girls and women even resort to take self medication to postpond or prepond their period just cause they don’t want to miss our some important religious ceremonies at home. This makes them vulnerable to Menstruation problems as they don’t realize that they are making compromises with their periodic cycle which has their own process and timings. My question to all is how can you regard something as impure and dirty when nature has itself given this to us. Do you think that there is life without menstruation?? Do you think we humans would have existed without the process of Menstruation?? It’s high time we need to ponder on these questions and come out of those taboos which holds no meaning.
