#noMoreLimits

I’m taxed for using a necessity, pads. The government thinks pads are a luxury and thus very conveniently puts it within the items that should be taxed. Not realising, I don’t bleed by choice, I didn’t ask for the cramps, for societal backlash and those taboos upon myself by choice. Innumberabl females drop out of school every year, because of menstrual problems. There are so many women who don’t have access to sanitary pads, they use wooden shavings and old clothes, which are not safe. Still, we refrain ourselves from talking about menstruation, when so many women are banished from the village during “that time of the month”.

Yes! I bleed, not by my own choice. Accept it.
