Salman-Katrina Starrer ‘Swag Se Swagat’ Becomes The Most Watched Hindi Song On YouTube

After breaking multiple records on the box-office, the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starring blockbuster “Tiger Zinda Hai” has added another feather to its crown. This time, the film’s chartbuster song “Swag Se Swagat” became the most viewed Hindi song on YouTube.

With over 428 million views, the song leads the list of the most viewed Hindi songs on YouTube. Sung by Vishal Dadlani and Neha Bhasin, the song was composed by Vishal and Shekhar and Irshad Kamil wrote the lyrics for this peppy dance number. One of Bollywood’s most famous choreographers, Vaibhav Merchant, choreographed the song.

“Tiger Zinda Hai” was the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2017. It managed to collect ₹511 crore in India. The film turned out to be extremely lucky for Katrina Kaif as her career was going through a rough patch. Her films like “Fitoor”, “Baar Baar Dekho” and “Jagga Jasoos” had performed below average at the box-office. Likewise, Salman Khan’s last film “Tubelight” had also been received poorly by critics and audiences. Thus,”Tiger Zinda Hai” provided a much-needed boost to the careers of both the actors.

Apart from “Swag Se Swagat”, Katrina’s song “Kala Chashma” from the film “Baar Baar Dekho” is also among the top 10 most viewed Hindi songs on YouTube with 412 million views. With 296 million views, the title track of Salman Khan’s “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” is at number 9 in the list.

Among the newcomers, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” is at number 6 for its title track which has 404 million views. Tiger Shroff’s “Ding Dong” from the film “Munna Michael” is at number 10 with 277 million views. Pop singer Guru Randhawa is the surprising element in the list as two of his songs have made the list – “Lahore” with 408 million views and “High Rated Gabru” with 370 million views.

Former most viewed song “Nashe Se Chadh Gayi” from the film “Befikre” starring Ranvir Singh and Vani Kapoor slipped to 3rd place with 424 million views, while Neha Kakkar’s “Mile Ho Tum (Reprise Version)” from the house of Zee Music Company climbed up to the second spot with 425 million views.
