I Write Because I Exist

Thoughts are to writing as pain is to tears.

Writing is my saviour, my me time and the method through which I devise plans to conquer the world through my ways.

I have been writing since childhood. I talk to my pages about things I cannot speak to anyone, and also those things which I want to tell the world, but there is nobody to listen to. Slowly it paved the way for my feelings, and I started pouring out my heart through my words and my poetries.

When I was a little I had realised that often the pen is mightier than the sword. Therefore in places and situations in which we cannot do anything physically, we can make a lot of difference by raising our voices through our words.

During the freedom struggle, a lot of leaders wrote articles that supported the physical battle against the Britishers, and it was their relentless struggle to awaken the audience, that helped the country fight together and gain independence.

I had always been interested in writing about my views on social issues, something which represents the common man’s view on the debate that is going on in the country, but unfortunately, I did not have any medium to do so. Then I came across this platform where anyone could post their articles. In the month I started I wrote several articles, and fortunately, I was chosen as the writer of the week.

I feel it’s a very good opportunity for people to keep their views forward and show a different angle to the already debatable topic.

Youth are the future of a country, they have the strength to change the whole moral base of the nation. It is very necessary that the youth indulge in constructive discussions and brainstorming to bring out the results the government is unable or is afraid to come out with.

Everyone does not have a mechanism to do something that will change the functioning of the government and the country. Protest and strikes are also not the be all and end all of all problems, therefore what is left and is equally significant is the power of words. We as an intellectual, well-read youth of the country have the power to change the world with the awareness we possess about the strength of words, impactful articles and focused targets.

As the future of the country, we should take the responsibly to think, act, write and discuss the various social issues affecting the society and stand against it. Use the power of the pen to make a difference.

I feel when I write, I feel alive.
