What is the first thing that comes to your mind after hearing the word loner? Bore, alone, injudicious, wierdo, stupid, fool or introvert. Yeah, these are the most common abstemious words that come to our mind when we talk about loners or hear that someone is a loner. A person walking alone on the Crimson Street, a person who doesn’t care to have friends, a person who doesn’t like to party or go out, or a person who is so wary or rather I would say so scared to talk to others – Now you may ask what’s all this? These are the kind of people we all envisage as loners. But why is the person like this, ever thought so?
It’s not necessary that a cool chap, walking in a group of 10, acting like a stud, and people nearby going crazy over that person might be the same person in the real life too, and by real life I mean one’s real self. No one knows what’s going on in anyone else’s life. They just judge you without even knowing anything. I believe most of the people in this world are alone, because no one ever goes to the state of self-realisation, but when they do, they discover their real self and feel that they have been living their whole life as a lie.
It’s not necessary that a loner may be a windbag. There may be so much happening in that person’s brain, which could be beyond anyone else’s imagination. They’re not inclined to share anything, whether it’s their delight, worries or feelings because they are afraid to be judged when they do so. I believe that they know so much more about this world and if they start talking we would look like imprudent suckers.
I believe that in this world, we either wear a mask over our real self or come with a dual face – not like Harvey Dent, but one face that they show to this world, and one that they keep to themselves, which is only used to self-reflect while they are alone in a closed room. It’s just that some of them behave like a wild choir of disharmony to hide their real self from the world, and you know why do they so? It is so that they are not tagged as insomniac or chumps. They are afraid of this world because they know that as soon as they reveal their real self, they would be judged and made fun of as hell.
They are just scared of this fucked-up world and this fuck-all community, of which they have to be a part because they don’t have a choice, and there are some who just don’t know how to be two-faced or they just can’t wear a mask on their real self. They just remain as who they are and it’s not like they don’t care what this world says about them, they have just become used to it and they try to handle it if not ignore it. Some are able to handle it and some are not able to, and the ones who are not able to, they just take a wrong step and do something wrong.
Being weak is not a problem, but harassing the weak is a major problem and this world and this community are playing the role of tormentor quite radiantly.
