Dear Internet Trolls, Stop Digging Up The Past Of Successful Women

Success is not something which one comes by easily. It is quite natural for people to be jealous of someone’s success when they see the glory and fame they can’t achieve. When it comes to a woman, Internet trolls start digging her past.

These Indian trolls on the internet try to reduce her achievements to one particular incident from her past. For these men, they can’t bear the sight of a woman who is sure of herself and one who is achieving sudden fame and success.

My question is that if a successful woman intimidates you, why should God give you a successful daughter?

Every successful woman has been the target of the trolls, starting from Smriti Irani, Jaya Bachchan, Assamese actress Angoorlata Deka, and Nagma.

People enjoy digging up a woman’s past to defame and tear her apart. They take a sadistic pleasure in doing that. If she happens to be an actress, it is more intense. This is a clear example of men being unable to bear the success of women, having been brought up in a patriarchal society.

This doesn’t apply to successful men. No one tries to dig up their past deeds. Everyone talks about their success and achievement, while for a woman, it’s not the same.

When HD Kumaraswamy was going to be declared the new Chief Minister of Karnataka, it was his second wife Radhika, an actress in her younger days, who was attacked, with people posting all kinds of photos on social media.

When opponents want to attack a man, they try to attack his wife, trying to dig up her past. That’s probably the excuse people make to attack her.

Every woman who has been a victim of cyberbullying has gone through the same. I have to tell these trolls that if you feel outsmarted by a successful woman, be man enough to work on being successful than digging up skeletons in that powerful woman’s closet to hide your incapability.
