Amidst the coffee plantations

Henry Miller says “ones destination is never a place, but always a new way of seeing things.”

Travel is a beautiful process of movement to a desired destination.Travel is an idea of realization which makes us realize, such a tiny space we occupy in this world.

As our (Myself and my brother ‘S) exams were nearing to an end, my mamma was busy flipping through the calendar sheets to choose an ideal day to travel towards “Chickamagaluru”.

The day arrived when we were freed from the clutches of examinations !Bags packed, sunglasses on, excitement at its peak ,and all set to soak ourselves in the beauty of the nature. As we travelled I felt the breeze all over me. The breeze is usually warmer in the day and gets cooler as the day passes. This taught me a great life lesson, that nothing is “PERMANENT” ! Everything takes its own time. As evening neared we reached the homestay that was booked and I stood awestruck looking at the Beautifully made original man made nature. We freshened up and had the world’s best Coffee! The concept of coffee there was a little different, called degree coffee, which was served in copper cup and saucer, I thought that was brilliant!  As we travelled in and around  Chikkamagaluru the interior highways had numerous trees lined up on the either side of the road, standing strong and tall ! This evoked a thought in me to stand as a  support systems to all of them who need me.!  There were beautiful tree canopies formed, which again evoked a thought in me to grow in all possible extents, make oneself sustainable and provide canopies (Life) to the people who need it and also a voluntary desire to serve. There were little waterfalls flowing against huge rocks, which evoked an idea of Keep going, come what may!

While all this was happening ,there was something else also happening within me. I was busy updating my whereabouts to the social media friends and the social media.I dint realize that I had very less human contact with my family and social contact with people who don’t matter to me.  I regret doing that, today. We paid visits to Hornadu ,Sringeri,Baba Budangiri,Mullaingiri etc. There are deep hairpin cuts to reach to all of these above places, which taught me that ,at a point of time one needs to deepen his/herknowledge,skills,humanity so deep, that it takes to a straight smooth road, way, path later!   Mullaingiri was the most dangerous patch on road as there are huge mountains on the left, deep and thick forest on the right and of course road in the middle!  Looking at that deep forest on the left, made me think what if our car slides or topples on the left side our life is killed by the nature!  What would happen?  That, made me to respect and value my LIFE!

One and a half weeks spent there along with my family was a mixture of all the emotions! By the time we reached Bangalore I had made a Travel Triangle for myself :

1: Personal Development

2: Love

3: Rejuvenation

Travel is not a process of landing up in a desired destination, rather it is a beautiful process of learning Life Lessons?which helps in Personal Development,?which helps in having Pure Happiness !
