How whatsapp is becoming hazardous?

WhatsApp was designed as a private secured platform but yet, it is taking off some another route, ” a route to spread fake news ” .
With its end-to-end encrypted feature, the app is being misused and hence becoming an uncontrolled platform to spread as many fake news and hatred it can create.
If it stays stake this way, the Indian democracy would undermime itself very soon, the time seems no far away.
Facebook claims that whatsApp has no control over its content because of an encypted feature that keeps all mesaages unchecked and hence it is becoming this today.
WhatsApp was started off as a private, secured messaging platform and not as a news forum or public forum. Whatsapp group messaging is another problematic thing because users remain anonymous, identified only by a mobile number. A motivated user can create or join unlimited numbers of groups and when messages are forwarded, other than the word “forwarded”, there is no indication of the accuracy of the message or its true source.

India more than 200 million WhatsApp users, and it is easily the app’s biggest market in the world. And it is continuing to grow: there are more than a billion phone subscribers who use a wide variety of social media platforms.

But WhatsApp is also specific in that it allows people to pass on information in a way that is unusually disconnected from its source. On public social media sites, information tends to be shared alongside where it has come from – either a link to a site or a post – but WhatsApp allows that context to be removed, simply by forwarding or broadcasting text quickly to an entire network.

All these defects has led to the loss of almost two dozens people and facebook must be held liable for this and should be required to take its group chat product off the market until its design flaws are fixed.

Rest assured : The tech industry always finds a way of solving problems when profits are at stake.
