4 Personalities Who Turned Their Failures Into Success

Motivation

Motivation is necessary in any sector or field. Motivation doesn’t always mean being inspired by someone. One can motivate oneself, and this is perhaps the best way. There are a lot of people who are scared of failing in their examination, meetings, interviews, and even in marriage proposals. But failing isn’t a bad thing. There are a number of well known Indian (and other) personalities who failed many times in their life, but the thing that makes them different from others is that they never lost hope. They kept trying, and adopted the failures to learn from them.

And these are the personalities known everywhere that we can all learn from:

1. Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is known as the Shahenshah of Bollywood. He is one of the best actors India has ever seen. Due to his unconventional look and great height, he was rejected by many times as a young actor. He tried his luck in All India Radio as a Radio Jockey, but due to his heavy voice, he was rejected from there too. His first nine films were flops, and then he got a chance to work in a movie named “Zanjeer” which changed everything for him.

Amitabh went bankrupt under a lot of debt. Even his company, Amitabh Bachchan Cooperation Limited was declared “sick”. He was advised to close the company but he did not give up. And in the end, his hard work paid off.

2. Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of United States. He became recognised as a successful man, but the journey there was not so easy for him. He failed a number of times.

He lost his bid for State Legislature, lost the love of his life, Ann Rutledge, when she died on August 25, 1835, and he lost his bid to become Speaker in the Illinois House of Representatives as well as the Commissioner of the General Land Office in D.C. Major defeats for the man who wanted to become a U.S. Senator.

He faced all these personal, business and political failures, but even then, Lincoln didn’t give up. It was his hopeful attitude and unlimited attempts that made him the president of the US. Today, his face appears on the five-dollar bill.

3. J. K. Rowling

You may or may not have heard of J.K. Rowling but you cannot forget how her imagination created the Harry Potter universe. Yes, “Harry Potter” is written by Rowling. Before she rose to fame, she was out of money and had to survive on government welfare. Her Harry Potter manuscripts  were rejected by 12 major publishing houses.

But all of that changed, when in 1996, a small literary house in London, named Bloomsbury, published her manuscript. According to Forbes, by 2004, Rowling had become the first author to become a billionaire through book writing.

4. Stephen Hawking

Hawking is a name known to so many of us. We cannot imagine a world without his scientific contributions!

No one is successful by birth. People succeed because of their dedication, hard work, and a never-give-up attitude. We should learn from these four personalities that merely having dreams isn’t enough. We need to work hard for all our dreams to come true.
