Why Privatisation Of College Education Is A Bad Idea

The privatisation of college education cannot be tolerated in a developing country like India.

College education not only moulds a person but also helps them adhere to moral values. It, therefore, should never be made into a business. The moral support that an institution must provide is very crucial and it should be purely focused on education and skill development in all academic as well as various co-curricular activities.

Once privatised, college education will do no good, it’ll become a waste of time and money for the parents, and destroy the lives of their children. So, instead of focusing on money and privatisation we must concentrate more on value education. Privatisation will definitely degrade the knowledge level that education imparts which will ultimately lead to poor statistics and be of no value to the students in their future. It would become a problem instead of being an asset, especially during times of crisis.

Such institutions only favour money and not the potential of a person. It may end up giving opportunities to undeserving students only because they have money and deny access to the rest. It can never be tolerated. The efforts that they put into to making their career a success is very high and this pressure may force them to take wrong decisions.

All are equal before the law and all must be provided with the same piece of bread. One should not care if a student is from a poor or a rich background before admission. Privatisation would definitely deny one’s rights to education and the kill their dreams of a brighter future.
