Stop Dowry

People have changed the objective of dowry. In fact, they never tried to know the purpose of dowry. Nowadays, dowry became a tradition which has been passed on to the further generations by their ancestors as legacy. This has turned the gift into greed. 
Do everybody really know the meaning of dowry? 
Many campaigns are run by government and non government authorities related to dowry. According to them, it is a bad custom. Think once, is this really a bad custom?
Perhaps, no. This custom doesn’t demand domestic violence in future. This custom was originally started as giving gift to the bride as according to the status of the bride’s family. But, gradually it turned into necessity of loading lot of things, money etc along with the bride while sending the bride to her in-laws house.
If it lacks something from the list of demands, domestic violence starts.
Hypocritical people speak something else on the stage surrounded by mass, while do something else practically in their lives.
We better know that a girl also has a right to get a share in her ancestral property as according to our Indian Constitution. Then, why don’t we provide her the property belonging to her? Instead of giving so much of expensive things and huge amount of money to the bride, her share in the ancestral property could be given. And this could be more efficient by the laws, moral and need.
Bride’s father become helpless but still he tries to fulfill all the demands of the groom’s family by going out of his status and economical level. But, who cares? Nobody has time to think about it.
One side government is saying that “STOP DOWRY” and on the other side it has also given the right to every girl of India to get a share in her ancestral property. Then why don’t we come forward and blend these two rules together and make the word DOWRY as only a righteous gift for her. Nothing more than that.
