Is India Ready For A Tech-Savvy Legal System?

Don’t we all have a notion that law firms and law in general cannot co-exist at one place with technology? Don’t they seem like the two extremes – water and fire? India is rapidly becoming a tech savvy country where we can pay our bills and buy our groceries online; in such a scenario, why can’t the Internet be helpful at law firms as well?
Technology should make apps which can help general people know about the legal system, their rights, process to hire lawyers, the methods in which, where, and how a particular case is to be filed, and the documents required to do so among other things. The process of filing a case is tedious and very costly; an app like this will not only make it cheaper for the citizens but also make the process faster.

Technology can not only help the clients but also the lawyers helping them in finding case laws and articles related to the case they are working on. This can even get the cases to process quickly and improve the quality of justice provided to the citizens.
India is only a developing country and according to statistics, around 45% people are below poverty line and cannot get access the luxury of technology. There is also another problem here: tech-law may lead to many lawyers or the people related to the field lose their jobs. This can also pose a threat to jobs in future when artificial intelligence is created (which will not be much later). With AI, disputes can be solved easily and obviously, it will affect all the lawyers in the world. However, the main disadvantage is that information theft that can take place if the cases are filed using apps or internet.
We may either sabotage or rebuild the legal system of the country by including technology in it.
