Aid, a boon or a curse

Some say that aid is a boon and some agree that its a taboo. Well, I would like to say that it’s a blessing in disguise. Before, I start let me question people who in spite of knowing that the opposite view is also correct still get biased and speak of one thing only. These people really just diverge people attention towards only one side of thing.

As per me, our main motive must be to provide job opportunities with the help of money through aid. Surely money must be utilized to give basic necessity items to poor but at the same time must be focussed to provide education and job opportunity. Excessive dependency on aid without focussing on job and education can surely create a deadlock in development.

Despite giving aid directly, it will be better to diverge that money towards NGOs who are working toward these above-mentioned goals. An organisation like Oxfam are properly attaining these goals. To ensure that money is properly utilized, appoint someone from that region to keep a check on money utilization.

Aid has been told as a curse or ‘DEAD AID’ mainly due to corruption and corrupt political leaders who mainly receive these funds. The main focus must be given to them. To ensure that money is utilized properly take a record of every single penny given to them as aid. To further give proper insight into them better form an Income tax dep for these aids who ensure that no corruption can happen.

Opposing one problem is not a solution. It’s always better to come up with a solution who solve these problems.
