Abhinandan Pathak, PM Narendra Modi lookalike, announced his decision to quit Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and join the Indian National Congress (INC), earlier this week. Pathak was an ardent follower of Modi and had previously campaigned for BJP during elections.
However, he was disappointed with the party’s performance and the leader he admired the most. While being a PM Modi lookalike helped Pathak during election campaigns, he claimed that he’s now facing the brunt of this resemblance.
Pathak has claimed that in spite of actively campaigning for the BJP, he hasn’t been able to meet PM Modi. His as many as 50 letters haven’t received any reply from the PM. Consequently, Pathak decided to explore other options. And, that was why he was found to be walking in the lush green ground of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Lucknow. He has expressed desire to join Congress and meet Rahul Gandhi.
UPCC chief Raj Babbar has assured him to arrange his meeting with Sonia Gandhi.
